Tricks by Ellen Hopkins

ANOTHER great book by this incredible woman! Funny thing is, I'd already read it. Just didn't know because I didn't own in, but I'm pretty happy that I read it again. It goes through 5 separate teenagers lives, who for varying reasons start "turning tricks." Some choose it for the money, some enter the profession unwillingly. These 5 teenagers of both sex's struggle with other things as well, such as drugs, gambling, love, family, and sexuality. Some of them meet in person, some of them are only connected by living in the same city or using the same escort service. But though their stories are different, they are the same. I also really like that before each persons section in the book, there are actual poems that sometimes give insight to what is coming next.
